At Twizzle we take child safety, protection and welfare extremely seriously and take measures to ensure the well being of all young people in our care.
Here are the key elements of our child protection policy:
Twizzle Entertainer Training
All of our Entertainers are trained in the basic elements of how to deliver safe, exciting and informative workshops. This includes health and safety, client relations and child protection considerations. We will not allow entertainers who have not been trained in these elements to run a workshop.
Health and Safety
Workshops for kids are typically packed with action, excitement and fun. In order to keep it that way, Twizzle entertainers are trained to have an awareness of health and safety, putting their knowledge and experience into action when they deliver a workshop. We reserve the right to stop workshops in the event that we discover any health and safety issue that cannot be rectified immediately.
All electrical equipment supplied by Twizzle for workshops is electrically tested to the latest PAT regulations by a qualified electrician. We expect that any electrical equipment supplied by the client or another supplier to a Twizzle workshop to be subject to the same levels of testing.
The CRB service enables organisations in the public, private and voluntary sectors to make safer recruitment decisions by identifying candidates who may be unsuitable for certain work, especially that involve children or vulnerable adults. All Twizzle entertainers who come into contact with these groups as part of a Twizzle Workshop are subject to Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) checks and hold a valid 'standard' disclosure certificate before they can work with us. Twizzle ensure that this is renewed as required and hold copies of all CRB documentation on file. Our clients can be assured that if Twizzle has any reason to believe that an entertainer is unsuitable to work with children for any reason, they will not be delivering Twizzle workshops.
We politely request that any client who is aware of previous medical conditions or health issues that could affect a child's enjoyment of a Twizzle workshop, makes us aware prior to the workshop taking place. Some Twizzle entertainers may be trained and willing to provide basic First Aid for minor injuries, but Twizzle can accept no responsibility for providing trained first aiders at a workshop, unless we agree to supply them in advance.
We want kids to love and remember the Twizzle workshops that they attended, for all the right reasons. By taking some simple and important steps, we endeavour to create an atmosphere of fun and relaxed enjoyment, in which everyone has fun and keeps safe!
